ESA Scholarship

About the ESA Scholarship

As of February 06, 2001, Etobicoke Musical Productions is pleased to announce the creation of a new scholarship for the Etobicoke School of the Arts. The award, to be presented annually, will be for a student majoring in Music Theatre who demonstrates ability, leadership, and community involvement.

This scholarship is funded by Etobicoke Musical Productions, a community theatre organization, with a matching contribution from the Ontario Arts Council Foundation and co-ordinated by Arts Etobicoke.

Charlotte Johnson

Charlotte Johnson ESA 2018

Charlotte recently graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts, majoring in Music Theatre with a double major in Dance. She was a Dance Captain for ESA Splash, an award winning Show Choir that competed throughout North America. While at Etobicoke School of the Arts, Charlotte had the opportunity to perform with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in their Christmas shows, as well as other venues throughout Toronto. Outside of school, Charlotte was a competitive dancer for nine years, competing in all styles of dance. She has worked in the film and television industry, and has performed in many shows including The Sound Of Music at Theatre Aquarius. Charlotte has completed up to grade eight in her Royal Conservatory Music vocal exams, and is continuing the curriculum. She has trained and completed exams in Cecchetti ballet, and spent time in the professional program at the National Ballet School of Canada. Charlotte plans to pursue a career in Music Theatre, and feels honoured to have received the 2018 Etobicoke Musical Productions Scholarship.
