EMP is proud to present our 2026 Spring Show, “Love is an Open Door” at The Assembly Hall, April 10 & April 11. AUDITIONS: December 7, 2025, 1:30 - 5pm @ Innovative Rhythm Dance Studios, 337 Evans Ave (furthest unit from Evans Ave) SIGN UP AT THE LINK IN BIO Please sing a musical theatre song that not only shows your range, but lets us see your personality as well. We will be choosing some of the songs for the show in collaboration with the cast, so if your audition piece is in line with the theme, we would love to see that! Please bring sheet music, double sided, and in a binder. An audition accompanist will be provided. MORE INFO Rehearsals (Location TBD) * Sunday afternoons starting in 2026. Performances at The Assembly Hall (1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr., Etobicoke) * Friday, April 10 at 7pm * Saturday, April 11 at 2pm Dress Rehearsal at The Assembly Hall * Evening of Thursday, April 9 CREATIVE TEAM Ashley Hughson (Director) began her professional career at 8 years old as Gretl in The Sound of Music and then Annie in Annie , both at Connecticut’s Coachlight Dinner Theatre. Recently she was part of the original Canadian company of Menopause The Musical 2: Cruising Through the Change,, covering 3 of the 4 roles! Ashley has numerous stage, TV, film, and commercial credits, and she has been Director of the Jr. Musical Theatre program at the Interprovincial Music Camp since 2017. She is also an avid baker, full-time mom of 2 teenage boys, Parker and Tyler, and wife of her amazingly supportive husband, Barry! Kati Pearson (Music Director) is a singer, dancer, actor, musician, and educator who has performed on stages across North America and beyond. A current member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association, Kati has also worked extensively as a director, music director, choreographer, private music teacher, and audition coach. She has recently returned to the GTA after two seasons performing as Gertie at the iconic Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall in Dawson City, Yukon, and looks forward to getting back behind the piano, and especially to collaborating with Ashley!

Everyone on stage, back stage and behind the scenes really hit this one out of the park!! Thank you to the whole team. And to our wonderful audiences for the support.
