ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Tom MacFarlane Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an Etobicoke – based student in their graduating year of high school. Students who are eligible for this $1000 scholarship will be pursuing a post-secondary education in the performing arts (music, dance, theatre/drama, or production).

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Criteria for the Scholarship are:
- Applicant must be an Etobicoke resident
- Graduating High School student
- Pursuing study in the performing arts at a post secondary level – music, dance, drama, or production
Application Package consists of:
- Completed application form
- 350–500-word paper outlining why you are a viable candidate for this scholarship
- Reference letter from a High School teacher outlining your ability, experience and why you deserve this award. This letter must be emailed directly to EMP from your teacher’s school board email
- Video – 3-5 minutes video highlighting your performing art or a portfolio for production applications
Applications are due on May 15 of each year. The successful candidate will be chosen by the Board of Directors and notified by email no later than June 14.
To receive this scholarship, the successful candidate MUST provide to the Etobicoke Musical Productions Board a copy of his/her paid receipt of tuition payments for the upcoming school year stating the institution and program being enrolled into to receive the scholarship.
The successful candidate agrees to be contacted by EMP regarding this award and to be acknowledged in the EMP newsletter and on the website.
